During the tax season, the Boston Tax Help Coalition administered the Financial Check-Up, a light touch strategy, one-on-one financial assessment tool that provides a City of Boston resident with the opportunity to review his or her credit report with a trained financial guide and learn how to improve that credit over time.

In 2018, 2,456 of approximately 13,000 taxpayers participated in the full FCU with credit review (of these, 845 signed up for Boston’s new citywide credit building program, Boston Builds Credit).  For every FCU participant who provides an email, we send a post tax-season FCU Client survey to gauge their satisfaction.    From those responding to the survey, we randomly select ten to receive a $25 gift card.   We chose the ten today and they will be notified on or around October 4, 2018.
