PLEASE TAKE A MOMENT TO REVIEW THE VOLUNTEER STEPS BELOW PRIOR TO REGISTERING AS A VOLUNTEER.
1. Register as a Boston Tax Help volunteer
Click on “Volunteer NOW” below to register.
2. Select your preferred tax site placement
When registering as a volunteer, you will be able to select up to two preferred tax site locations. Tax site placement is based on a first come, first serve basis.
3. Take the required training and certifications
After registering as a volunteer, you will receive an email within one business day with the training sign-up link. For specific training details required of each volunteer position, please see Volunteer Positions.
4. Tax Site Placement
Your Tax Site Coordinator will contact you within 2 weeks of registering as a volunteer. Because you are allowed to choose up to 2 preferred tax sites at registration, you may be contacted by 2 Tax Site Coordinators.
5. Volunteer at a Tax Site
When you have completed all required training, certifications, AND have confirmed placement with your Site Coordinator, you can officially VOLUNTEER!
